The foundation

  1. We are a random arrangement of atoms, constrained in an observable universe ~93 billion lightyears in diameter.
  2. There are an innumerable amount of concepts that we cannot possibly comprehend (the absence of time, what exists beyond the universe, etc).
  3. Consciousness, like life itself, is a arbitrary arrangement of matter that is inexplicably beautiful, but also unexplainable.

The present

  1. It is “beautiful” that we exist, against overwhelming odds.
  2. Evolution forms the foundation of how survive, and how we perceive “beauty”.
  3. However, modern society defies evolution.
  4. With an abundance of food and water, we turn to higher order needs.
  5. Thus, we search for meaning; this universe offers none inherently.
  6. We search, our collective knowledge seems to grow exponentially,
  7. Yet our individual ability to comprehend remains unchanged.
  8. Instead of continuing to seek, we embrace the most convenient narrative.
  9. God.
  10. However, god does not exist.
  11. I believe something simpler - meaning is to bring joy to myself and others.
  12. Nothing matters, but everything matters.
