The foundation
- We are a random arrangement of atoms, constrained in an observable universe ~93 billion lightyears in diameter.
- There are an innumerable amount of concepts that we cannot possibly comprehend (the absence of time, what exists beyond the universe, etc).
- Consciousness, like life itself, is a arbitrary arrangement of matter that is inexplicably beautiful, but also unexplainable.
The present
- It is “beautiful” that we exist, against overwhelming odds.
- Evolution forms the foundation of how survive, and how we perceive “beauty”.
- However, modern society defies evolution.
- With an abundance of food and water, we turn to higher order needs.
- Thus, we search for meaning; this universe offers none inherently.
- We search, our collective knowledge seems to grow exponentially,
- Yet our individual ability to comprehend remains unchanged.
- Instead of continuing to seek, we embrace the most convenient narrative.
- God.
- However, god does not exist.
- I believe something simpler - meaning is to bring joy to myself and others.
- Nothing matters, but everything matters.
